Demonstration of force control using the next-generation work machine Cafe.

Yanmar Holdings Co., Ltd. is developing the next-generation work equipment Cafe, which is equipped with a motor actuated force control function to realize precision work that is currently carried out manually, with the aim of future automated construction. Demonstrations included paneling at a construction site (top right), assisting the raising and lowering of a U-shaped trench (bottom left) and installing a U-shaped trench utilizing the reaction force (top right and bottom right). Many visitors attended the exhibition and actively exchanged opinions not only on the technological aspects, but also on applications utilizing the force control.
