We conducted compaction experiments using a vibratory roller to verify the ground stiffness estimation method developed by Kyushu University in an experimental pit at SAKAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES, LTD. The proposed method estimates the ground stiffness based on the acceleration response to ground vibration caused by a vibratory roller using multiple vibration sensors placed on the ground.
